Nominations for WorkCover’s inaugural Recovery and Return to Work Awards close on Friday 17 August 2007.
Winners will be announced in September 2007 in conjunction with WorkCover’s best practice conference, Return to work is part of the recovery.
“The awards provide us with the opportunity to recognise individuals, employers, claims managers and service providers who have demonstrated excellence in recovery and return to work,” said WorkCover CEO Julia Davison.
“Recognising those achievements is an inspirational way we can share learnings and achieve better outcomes.
“The awards aim to reward excellence in injury management, return to work and services to injured workers and employers, and promote and raise awareness of best practice – all leading to improved return to work outcomes,” Ms Davison said.
Ms Davison encouraged individuals, employers, claims managers and health providers to nominate themselves or someone they believed had excelled in aspects of recovery and return to work.
The award categories are:
- Individual achievement
- Small employer
- Large employer
- Self-insured employer
- Service provider achievement
- Claims manager excellence.
